For You Good Friend

I thought when I saw this sketch that I was going to have no problems doing a card. Well, scroll down a little to see the first card I did...a little busy, wouldn't you say??? I like the second card I did much better. See, sometimes simple is better!

This is a sketch for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge on Karen Giron's blog . She has a lovely blog with some really amazing works of art!

I chose one of my favourite colour combos - Old Olive, Regal Rose & So Saffron. These colours scream SPRING to me. It's hard to tell from the picture but I actually cut out the butterfly and pushed the wings up for a 3D look.

Here's the inside. I didn't leave much room for writing so this would be perfect for a quick note.

Now take a look at this busy one. I like the different parts of it but together...well...it's just crazy busy!

I hope you enjoy at least one of them!

I just found your blog and I LOVE LOVE your ideas, color choices, placement! On March 11, you had a card using "Cheers to You"- You said in the entry to contact you with the directions on how to make the "beer" "full". Could I have those directions? Thanks- Sarah
