I've seen so many things done with this basket weave technique that I thought I would give it a try. It took a few tries to get it just how I wanted and, in the end, it didn't turn out too badly.
This card is for Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Colour Challenge. Don't you LOVE the colour combo??
I hope you enjoy!
Here is the inside. Sorry for the dark picture!

Flower Passion
This is my version of the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge. I altered it slightly by turning the sketch. I'm not sure I love it but...well...it may be growing on me! Do you ever do a card that you're not sure you like at first then it starts to grow on you??? This is one of them for me!
I really love this Thoughts and Prayers stamp set, I think it's just beautiful! I cut out some of the little flowers to add a bit of dimension to the image. I used the Pretties Kit synthetic flowers and brayered them to get the colour I needed.
I say this on every post but I LOVE doing the inside of the card. It just ties the whole card together. The picture may be a little fuzzy, sorry.

Sunflower Friends
Here is my version of Kerin's Thursday Sketch Challenge. I love this sketch, it was fun to do! I hope you like it!
Check out Kerin's blog. She has a beautiful blog with some really great projects.
I really love this stamp set, A Flower for All Seasons. I've had it for over a year but I never really used it. This is my second card I made with it over the last couple days. I'm going to make more because this images are SO perfect for spring and summer. Except for, maybe, the one with the poinsettias and the cardinal but I'm sure if you used spring and summer colours it wouldn't look so Christmas-y.
I'm sorry about the picture of the inside of the card, it's a little blurry and dark. Lately, I'm on this 'inside the card' kick! How nice is it to receive a card and the artwork continues on the inside?

Cheers To You Birthday
On the weekend we celebrated my future brother-in-law's 25th Birthday. I made this card because what 25 year old guy doesn't like beer???
I learned this technique at our Mega Meeting a few weeks ago and thought it was too cool! The beer is empty now but when you pull on the ribbon above the beer is full. See the picture below. Let me know if you'd like the directions.
I used So Saffron, Basic Black and Whisper White. I think So Saffron is the perfect beer colour!
I like to decorate the inside of my cards too. I think it adds a little something extra.
I cut out a mug of beer to include on the inside but we still had enough room to write our birthday wishes for him.
Products Used:
Stamps: Cheers to you, A Little Birthday Cheer
Paper: So Saffron, Basic Black, Whisper White
Ink: So Saffron Classic Ink Pad, Basic Black Classic Ink Pad, Stazon Pad, Bordering Blue Classic Ink Pad, So Saffron Stampin' Write Marker
Accessories: Silver Brads, Blender Pen, Basic Black 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, 3/4" Circle Punch, 1-3/4 Circle Punch, Coluzzle, Word Window Punch, Paper Piercer, Dazzling Diamonds, 2-Way Glue Pen, Acetate Sheet

Be Kind Blooms
This is my card for the Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge. This is my first Cupcake Challenge so I'm a little nervous, I hope you like it!
I got my inspiration from Mary Jo Albright's blog. She did an amazing card using the Botanical Blooms stamp set. The layout was different but she cut out the flowers which I thought looked beautiful. Cutting out small things isn't the funnest thing in the world but I do love the look.
